Frameworks for Interdisciplinary Ethnographic Learning and Dialogue (FIELD) is a space for students exploring the interpretive and practical dilemmas of ethnographic fieldwork. FIELD offers guidance and support for Princeton students of all backgrounds pursuing fieldwork.
We look to support students positioned at the often-overlooked intersections of other well-established methodologies. FIELD advises on ethnographic methods in order to generate fresh questions. We support fieldwork projects that bridge academic disciplines, private and public institutions, and everyday communities within or beyond the United States.
FIELD ultimately aspires to advance Princeton University’s commitment to diversity, service, and inclusiveness.
